For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. -Phil. 3:20
We are foreigners in this world as we live for Christ and the will of the Father. Jesus wasn't of this world and said that those who followed Him were also not of this world (John 17:16). So how do we react to this truth? By putting our mind on heavenly things (Col. 3:2). We have 4 "N's" that we can look to for encouragement:
- No Compromise- "But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts." Rom. 13:14
- Never Abandoned- "Be Strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." Deut. 31:6
- Not Despised- "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Tim. 4:12
- Need 4 Jesus- "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh i live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Gal. 2:20
So we as the Youth in this community hope to share these truths with our peers, and see them come to a place of dependence on Jesus.
